Monday will be cool, breezy and wet. In the wake of Sunday's front, afternoon highs on Monday will only be in the low to mid 40s.

Seattle Weather: Rounds of heavy mountain snow this week

The work week will start cool and wet around Western Washington.   A convergence zone will bring heavy snow at times to Stevens Pass on Monday morning.  For the lowlands, precipitation will mainly fall as rain, but overnight and early morning temperatures could occasionally dip just low enough for a brief rain-snow mix. Any mix would likely be isolated and short-lived, with little to no accumulation expected. In the heaviest showers, there could be a light coating on grassy surfaces or patio furniture this week, and a few slick spots can’t be ruled out.

Seattle weather: Rain/snow mix this week

Morning clouds across the region today gradually broke apart, allowing for some afternoon sun. It will be a fairly typical early-March setup around the greater Seattle area, with a mix of clouds and sunshine and temperatures staying seasonably mild.

Seattle weather: Heavy mountain snow on Sunday

A front will drop in from the north early Sunday morning with rain picking up in the lowlands, heavy at times with breezy winds, and snow in the mountains. Scattered showers will continue throughout the day on Sunday.

Seattle weather: Cooler showers by Monday

Today we were expecting gray skies and overcast conditions across western Washington with mild highs in the mid-50s. It was also slightly breezy at times. We were watching for very isolated light sprinkles and the occasional brief shower, but overall the day leaned mostly cloudy with spotty, light precipitation.
