King County Metro cites 'safety issue' in temporary suspension of bus service

King County Metro has suspended bus service in all directions along 12th and Jackson in the Chinatown-International District as of Monday.

The agency said the area was "a location of frequent illegal activity," making it a "safety issue for our riders, transit operators and facilities employees."

King County Metro alerted riders on Sunday night to temporarily stop bus service in the area until further notice.
