According to Seattle Fire, several 911 calls came in about smoke coming from a high-rise building, but once crews entered the building, there was no active fire.

However, there appeared to have been a small explosion in the generator room located in the parking garage, causing smoke to spread through the parking garage and parts of the building.

Crews shut off electrical access to the parking garage until Puget Sound Energy arrived to de-energize the building.

While the fire alarm was going off, one person was trapped in the building's elevator. That person was rescued once power to the building was completely shut off.
