Thousands lose power Tuesday afternoon in Seattle
SEATTLE - Utility crews have restored power to more than 8,000 customers in Seattle on Tuesday afternoon.
What we know:
According to Seattle City Light, at its peak, 8,753 customers in the upper Magnolia Westlake neighborhoods lost power at 2:00 p.m.
As of 3:20 p.m., the number of customers without power had dropped to 5,906.
By 4:45 p.m., power appeared to have been restored.

City Light officials said the cause of the outage was equipment failure. Crews were continuing to work to restore power to the remainder of customers still in the dark.
