Woman sexually assaulted while walking her dog in Tacoma, WA
TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted on Wednesday evening.
Investigators said the attack happened at about 5 p.m. in the parking lot near a dog park in the Point Defiance area.
Investigators said the woman was walking her dog when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
The suspect has not been arrested.
Police described the suspect as wearing a mask, gloves and dark clothing.
Tacoma police are urging people to stay vigilant, take precautions when walking alone and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
