Enjoy the glorious blue skies and sunshine the next couple of days! While we stay chilly this week, highs next week could reach the low 60s.

Some Western Washington school districts will be closed or delayed on Tuesday, March 5 because of winter weather. Check the status of your district.

Rain and snow showers will taper tonight, with dry and cool conditions on Tuesday.

Two snowmobile riders were killed during separate avalanches in Idaho and Washington on Friday as a multi-day blizzard pounded the Northwest over the weekend.

For the rest of the day today, we can't rule out an additional rain/snow mix. For the most part, this will be focused in Southwest Washington.

Chains were required for drivers traveling in both directions of Snoqualmie Pass due to snowy weather conditions on Monday.

Both directions of SR-18 were closed over Tiger Mountain Summit early Monday morning because of icy conditions and spinouts. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has since reopened SR-18 and lifted all travel restrictions.

We have additional possibilities for a wintry mix in the lower elevations into early Tuesday morning; however, little to no accumulations are expected.

The unseasonably cool weather continues in our area with highs today still running in the low to mid 40's in many spots.  A few locations like Port Angeles and Friday Harbor got a little warmer, into the upper 40's.  We are tracking some warmer temperatures by next weekend.

The atmosphere is unstable and cool enough today to support a mix of snow, small hail or graupel with rain in the lowlands.
