The northern lights may put on a show tonight for Thanksgiving Eve and be visible in several states.

Snoqualmie Pass was getting some significant accumulations of snow Tuesday night.  A winter-weather mix blanketed the summit with snow and ice over the course of several hours.  

Periods of whiteout and life-threatening driving conditions will be possible across Michigan's Upper Peninsula, as well as places downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario in Ohio, western Pennsylvania and western New York, beginning Wednesday through Friday.

US-2 has reopened in both directions near Stevens Pass summit after a two-car head-on collision Tuesday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol announced.

Tuesday holiday travel in western Washington will be impacted by widespread lowland rain and several inches of mountain snow.

Our next stronger system will move inland Tuesday, bringing more rain and breezy winds at times. Snow will also fall at our mountain passes.

There are no major storms ahead for Thanksgiving week in western Washington, but travel will still be impacted.

After a gray day with a few showers on Sunday, another round of light rain will kick off our week on Monday.  While the day is expected to be more dry than wet, a few showers will be possible throughout the day with some light mountain snow in the passes. 

After on-and-off again rain this weekend, the workweek will be wetter, with atmospheric river conditions and mountain snow that may complicate holiday travel.

After a gray, dry Saturday, a slow-moving front will swing through overnight and rain will increase into Sunday morning.  Most spots will pick up about .25" with isolated amounts over .50".  Winds will also be breezy at times with gusts up to 35 mph.
