Thursday will be in the mid to upper 60s as clouds will break up into the afternoon.

As Washington ramps up preparations for wildfire season, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is deploying a team of "fuel mitigation specialists" to eat up thick vegetation so it doesn't burn up!

Thursday and Friday will feature morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine, with highs holding in the mid to upper 60s.

Onshore flow Wednesday will bring another round of morning clouds to western Washington.

Friday will be the coolest day of the week with more clouds and a slight chance of a few sprinkles, but we're back to sunshine by the weekend!

Highs will reach the mid to low 70s for the Puget Sound, low 60s along the coast and 80s for central Washington.

The dry stretch of weather will continue into the week. Highs will dip into the 60s briefly on Friday, but warm in time for Mother's Day.

After a day of record heat on Sunday, highs on Monday will reach the low to mid 80s with plenty of afternoon sunshine.
