A slow-moving disturbance continues to push clouds inland.  Onshore flow is keeping some light moisture around.  Light, isolated showers may develop along the coast, but drier skies are forecast by later in the afternoon. 

After heavy rain swept through western Washington on Friday, many people in Seattle are asking if summer is over. 

The unusually cool and wet system that came through yesterday brought some much-needed rain to the region.  The highest rainfall totals came to the coast and mountains. 

After widespread rain and unseasonably cool temperatures on Friday in Seattle, we're tracking far fewer showers in the region for Saturday. However, some communities will still experience wet weather at times.Showers today will be much more isolated in nature compared to yesterday. Highs this afternoon will reach the mid 70s for many areas. Today, the skies will alternate between sun and clouds. It could be slightly breezy as well. 

Hurricane Erin, the first major hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, rapidly intensified Friday night, with the storm now reaching Category 5 strength with sustained winds of 160 mph.

Highs Saturday will be a few degrees warmer with more sunbreaks, temperatures will reach the mid to low 70s.

A strong and wet frontal system will bring widespread rain across the Pacific Northwest Friday into Saturday.

Showers will move in Thursday, but the heaviest rainfall will be Friday evening into Saturday along with gusty winds. The most rainfall will be in the mountains, with up to 5" possible in the heavier spots.

Widespread rain will return Thursday night and continue through Friday, bringing significant rainfall totals to several spots around western Washington.
