CRAVITY conquers 'Road to Kingdom' and invites fans to 'FIND THE ORBIT'

Fresh off their win on music competition show, ‘Road to Kingdom: ACE of ACE," CRAVITY has made their return with their latest single album, "FIND THE ORBIT."

The show put seven K-pop boy groups head to head in weekly performances in the hopes of getting recognition, prize money, and joining the lineup at KCON next year.

The group showed off their talent and versatility each week, culminating in their first place win.

"It felt like our efforts really paid off. We worked really hard to be able to show not just our fans, but just everyone that watched the show what we're actually capable of and that this is CRAVITY," says ALLEN.

On December 5 they made their return with "FIND YOUR ORBIT," a single album featuring three tracks.

The members tell FOX 13 that they recorded the songs on the album while preparing for their final stage of Road to Kingdom, "Historia."

"FIND THE ORBIT" has a space theme that the members are continuing from their journey on the show.

"At the very start of our Road to Kingdom journey, the space theme has been like a motif that you can really see throughout the entire journey starting with ‘THIS IS MY ASTEROID,’ the intro film, as well as our ‘Odyssey into Gravity,’ throughout each stage on Road to Kingdom. We wanted to incorporate some elements that would tie in together for this album, ‘FIND THE ORBIT,’" ALLEN explains.

One track on the album, "Horizon," was co-produced by member WOOBIN.

The song is a narrative about their time on the show.

"Throughout our experience on Road to Kingdom, I really paid attention to each and every member and I wanted to portray and incorporate each of our emotions into the tracks and into the lyrics as well," he says.

While "Horizon" is an emotion-filled track expressing the member’s feelings, "Secret" is a funk track with a repetitive bass line and synths that the members say give you the feeling of being the main character.

The title track for the album, "Now or Never," was written by members SERIM and ALLEN.

"While I was writing lyrics for ‘Now or Never,’ I wanted to tie it to the theme as accurately as possible, and as I was writing my rap verse, I wanted to make the song sound as diverse as possible," SERIM says.

As the group promotes their latest release they say if you are looking to find your orbit, maybe this album is where you’ll find what you are destined to achieve.

"All around the world, LUVITY, we couldn’t have done this without you guys. We are proud of you guys. We really miss you, so next year we are going to keep getting closer with you guys," says TAEYOUNG.

On December 19 the members took the main stage at the 2024 KBS Song Festival, performing a new "metal cinematic" version of "Now or Never."

As they wrap up the new year, they tell FOX 13 they are looking forward to giving fans even more in the new year.
