The Marysville School District's executive director of human resources announced her intent to resign on Thursday.

Marysville-Pilchuck High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning following an online threat made against the school.

On Thursday night, 10 years since the mass shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, community members gathered for a memorial walk to honor the victims.

Thursday is the 10th anniversary of the shooting that killed four students.

No schools in the Marysville School District have been chosen for closure just yet. However, the district still needs to cut around $3 million from its budget.

After wrapping up its board meeting on Monday, the Marysville School District is expected to consider potential school closures.

Washington's Superintendent praised the Marysville community for passing their recent school levy, and for supporting the appointment of new district leadership.

According to the district, both the school board and Dr. Robbins have agreed that it is in the best interest of the district and the superintendent to move forward with a change of leadership. The email states that the decision was an amicable separation agreement, meaning Dr. Robbins and the district agreed to part ways peacefully without attributing any wrongdoing on either side.

The board announced Thursday night that Dr. David Burgess would be replacing Dr. Zachary Robbins as interim superintendent in a meeting Thursday.

The complaint stretches over 300 pages, alleging unethical and unprofessional conduct from the Marysville superintendent.

The State Superintendent has appointed a special administrator to head up all financial decisions for the Marysville School District, including budget and staffing.
