Aaron Farinacci, the man accused of starting a wildfire that destroyed hundreds of homes in Spokane, is now facing four new charges of arson after he allegedly admitted to sparking over a dozen other fires in the last year.

Aaron Farinacci, the arson suspect who allegedly started the Old Trails Fire in Spokane, told police he had planned setting the fire in advance by researching a serial arsonist, and monitoring weather conditions. Farinacci also told police he allegedly started 25 fires in the area, since July 2025.
