Seattle and Western Washington are bracing for sweltering, scorching temperatures over the next several days.

Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s to low 90s for the puget sound with plenty of sunshine.

Hot weather returns to the Pacific Northwest Friday through early next week, with several heat alerts in effect starting tomorrow.

Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer on Thursday with plenty of sunshine. Peak highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Seattle will be treated to another day of beautiful and mild weather before blistering heat returns this weekend. 

Clear skies return on Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 70s for the south sound, low 70s to the north and 60s along the coast.

We're forecasting sweltering weather in Seattle this upcoming weekend with highs approaching 90 degrees on Sunday. 

Temperatures will be a degree or two warmer on Tuesday, but highs will still be below average. A mix of sun and clouds into the afternoon.

The next several days in Seattle will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies with very comfortable afternoon high temperatures, in the mid 70s.
