Gusty weather possible in Seattle for Christmas Eve

Moderately strong winds are still blowing in the North Sound area and along the Washington coast, and could result in more power outages and tree damage late Monday afternoon.

Another round of showers will arrive on Monday with the possibility of thunder near the coast. Snow levels remain low with additional snow forecast to fall above 2000'.

RIVER FLOODING THREATS LOWERS IN SHORT-TERMAs of noon Sunday, three river Flood Warnings were still posted — one for the Skokomish River at Potlatch, another for the Chehalis River at Porter in Grays Harbor County and another for the White River in south King and north Pierce Counties. All warnings were posted for the potential of minor flooding.

A Wind Advisory will go into effect for parts of Western Washington early Thursday morning through the evening hours. Winds will gust up to 45 mph and will stay gusty in the north sound through the late evening.

Seattle weather: Winds, flooding and mountain snow

Hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians are without power as forceful winds whipped through the region into early Wednesday morning. While it'll stay gusty this afternoon, winds won't be nearly as strong as what we saw earlier today.

Showers will be more scattered by Wednesday afternoon with even a few sunbreaks. Highs will be cooler midweek through the weekend with the snow levels staying lower. We will be watching for landslide concerns and river flooding through the end of the week.
