FOX 13 is tracking multiple wildfires burning across Washington state. The state's largest fire, the Kaiser Canyon Fire, is burning more than 120,000 acres and is continuing to grow in Okanogan County.

Seattle Weather: Monday morning showers, sunnier afternoon

The wildfires continue to burn in Eastern Washington, leading to poor air quality, especially in the areas nearest the fires.  An air quality alert will remain in effect into Monday in these locations.  The onshore, westerly winds will help to keep air quality in Western Washington good with little to no haze seen in our skyline. 

Seattle weather Monday: Gradual clearing, mild temperatures

Temperatures will remain at or below normal through much of the week—a noticeable change from the 90-degree heat many experienced last week.

Seattle weather: Few passing showers then drier by midweek

Our break from the heat will continue into Sunday.  Afternoon highs will remain cooler than normal with the coast staying in the 60s, while the interior lowlands warm into the low 70s.  A very pleasant day.

Sunshine will be limited to a few brief breaks, while steadier rain will be possible along the Olympic Peninsula before showers spread into parts of Puget Sound Sunday evening.

This weekend will look much different, with mostly cloudy skies expected both Saturday and Sunday. A few sprinkles will be possible around the greater Seattle area on Saturday, while steadier rain will fall along the coast, Olympic Peninsula, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the northwestern interior.

A fourth firefighter has died from injuries sustained in a deadly Colorado wildfire burnover, nearly a month after he and fellow crew members were overtaken by rapidly spreading flames near the Colorado-Utah border.

SEA Airport ground stop, delays due to fog and low visibility

Heavy fog prompted a ground stop for departing flights at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Friday morning due to low visibility.

Seattle weather: Weekend cooldown after a toasty Friday

On Friday, temperatures will again return to the 80s in the Seattle area. Onshore flow will bring in some more relief on Saturday and Sunday, dropping temps into the mid 70s.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect in some areas of our state as wildfires continue to burn. A new wildfire coming off of Whitmore Mountain prompted 'GO NOW' evacuations in Omak. Meanwhile, the Kaiser Canyon fire has burned over 81,000 acres in Okanogan County and is only 3% contained as of Thursday morning.
