Seattle weather: A wet and cloudy Friday, increasing late winds
Tonight we will see scattered showers and cloudy skies. As we start to see a more active end of the week into the weekend. More rain for Friday and winds will increase into Saturday. We are also looking at more snow for the mountain passes and high tides with possible coastal flooding.

Rain will increase throughout the day Friday as a stronger system moves through western Washington, lowering snow levels and increasing mountain snow showers.

High temperatures will be around the seasonal average on Friday, if not a little warmer, with plenty of clouds and rain. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Sunday for the Cascade Passes above 3500 ft. The heaviest snow will be around Stevens Pass - 8-12" of snow, with heavier amounts possible for Mt. Baker Ski area. Less snow for Snoqualmie Pass, but make sure to check pass conditions before you head out.
A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect 1pm Friday through 10am Sunday for the Cascade Passes above 3500ft.
Winds will pick up Friday through Saturday, with the strongest gusts overnight. The strongest will be along the coast and the north interior with gusts around 30-40 mph, but we can't rule out stronger isolated gusts.
