SEATTLE - There's no shortage of new places opening up in Seattle, and we're looking forward to a few coming in 2025.

Washington's largest pickleball court is coming to Seattle
It's the official state sport, and now the first dedicated indoor pickleball facility is opening in South Seattle.
The Side Out Tsunami Pickleball Center will be the largest pickleball facility in Washington when completed.
The courts are set to open in spring 2025.
T&T Supermarket is opening an additional location in Lynnwood
Canada-based Asian grocery chain T&T Supermarket is set to expand after seeing great success with its first U.S. store that opened in Bellevue in December 2024.
A second store is planned for the Lynnwood Crossroads Shopping Center, tentatively scheduled to open in summer 2025.

Trader Joe's is coming to Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood
The newest Seattle-area Trader Joe's location is coming to the Greenwood neighborhood. The store is opening at 8726 Greenwood Ave., where the Safeway used to be located.
Currently, there are five other Trader Joe's operating in Seattle: Ballard, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne Hill, U District and West Seattle.

New additions are being added to Seattle's Waterfront Park Promenade
After the opening of the Overlook Walk, a new walkway connecting the Seattle Waterfront to Pike Place Market, there's still some construction happening downtown that will bring new additions to the Waterfront Park Promenade in 2025.
In the meantime, the Waterfront Park Promenade — near the Seattle Aquarium and the new Ocean Pavillion — seems to be coming together quite nicely and attracting lots of visitors.

A big renovation is scheduled at the Tacoma Mall
Along with some major upgrades coming to the Tacoma Mall, "The Village" expansion will offer notable restaurant brands such as Shake Shack, Dave’s Hot Chicken and Supreme Dumpling.

Seattle's Pioneer Square is getting 3 new restaurants from restaurateur Renee Erickson
On April 24, Railspur Seattle and Eat Sea Creatures made an announcement: Seattle's Pioneer Square will welcome a trio of new dining experiences courtesy of Seattle restaurateur Renee Erickson.
Scheduled to open in early 2025, the new restaurants aim to redefine the area's food scene while paying homage to the building's history as the iconic sports bar FX McRory's.
Led by James Beard Award-winning chef Erickson, the establishments promise world-class hospitality and culinary mastery.
Among the offerings, Lowlander Brewing will introduce one of the country's first tank bars, providing sports fans and craft beer enthusiasts with a unique experience; Un Po Tipsy Pizzeria will cater to those craving quick, artisanal bites; while a European dining concept will offer an elevated menu for special evenings.
Erickson is an author and the chef/co-owner of multiple restaurants in Seattle, including The Walrus and the Carpenter, The Whale Wins, Barnacle, Boat Bar, Bateau, Lioness, Deep Dive, Willmott's Ghost, Westward and General Porpoise Doughnuts and Coffee.
