Highs Saturday will be a few degrees warmer with more sunbreaks, temperatures will reach the mid to low 70s.

A strong and wet frontal system will bring widespread rain across the Pacific Northwest Friday into Saturday.

Showers will move in Thursday, but the heaviest rainfall will be Friday evening into Saturday along with gusty winds. The most rainfall will be in the mountains, with up to 5" possible in the heavier spots.

Widespread rain will return Thursday night and continue through Friday, bringing significant rainfall totals to several spots around western Washington.

Clouds will return again for Thursday with a few sunbreaks possible, then rain returns into the evening/overnight hours.

The first soaking rain of the season will hit the Pacific Northwest on Friday and into Saturday.

Wednesday will be much cooler with highs in the mid to upper 70s. More clouds around with a patchy sprinkles are also possible through the afternoon.

Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with widespread temperatures in the 90s around the central and south Puget Sound area as Seattle experiences a heatwave.

Highs will be in the 90s for many spots with plenty of sunshine.

Monday will be very hot across the Pacific Northwest as a strong ridge of high pressure amplifies over the region.
