Those traveling over the passes could run into some hazards Friday night into Saturday morning, including rain, snow or foggy conditions, depending on which areas they are passing through. 

Another round of rain arrives on Friday night as the front pushes in from the south.  Widespread light rain will persist into the morning.  Showers will be more scattered through the day with a brief dry break late Saturday night.  Rainfall amounts will range from around .30" to .75" tomorrow.  

Western Washington will see another round of breezy wind and rain Friday night into Saturday morning as the next low pressure system takes aim at the Pacific Northwest.

Showers will start our Friday with more lowland rain and mountain snow throughout the afternoon.

As winter storms pound mountain passes across the Pacific Northwest, avalanche risk in the Cascades has risen sharply.

A strong low pressure system is bringing gusty wind, mountain snow, and lowland rain to Western Washington Thursday.

In addition to the Avalanche Warning, there is a Winter Storm Warning for the Cascades through Thursday evening for additional heavy snow and dangerous conditions.

On Dec. 26, 2004, a 9.2-magnitude earthquake shook the seafloor off Indonesia, sending a 100-foot wall of water to communities and killing over 220,000 people.

It will be a very wet and blustery start to Thursday, so watch for standing water and downed branches if you are driving early.
