We've got a long stretch of cool, sunny days — but rain is finally creeping back into the forecast late next week.

Seattle may see the faintest chance for a stray shower on Thursday, but that aside, the long, dry January continues.

Overnight lows stay below freezing going into Tuesday in western Washington. We are tracking drier conditions.

Foggy start to Monday in western Washington, but we could see some sunbreaks later in the day. There are chilly mornings and nights this week.

Rain returns early Friday morning and will be with us most of the morning commute and through mid-day. We will also see mountain snow. Showers will linger through the afternoon, but we could also see a mix of clouds and sun.

It will definitely feel chilly when you step outside early Thursday morning, but we should see some sunshine mixed in with those clouds.

Unsettled weather returns to Western Washington as we close out the first weekend of the new year.  Another disturbance will arrive overnight Thursday into Friday with more lowland rain and mountain snow on the way.  Rainfall will again be generally light, but more widespread than on Thursday.
