The power is back on for neighbors living along SE 10th Street. It went out during Thursday’s windy weather. Wind caused a portion of a large maple tree to snap, taking down power lines in the process. While crews have restored power, the root of the issue remains. 

A calm and cloudy Friday before the weather ramps up again tonight into the weekend. 

Friday will bring a break between storms as another wet and windy system takes aim at the Pacific Northwest Friday night.

Winds behind a cold front Thursday afternoon brought downed tree branches, power outages and even a run-away barge. Winds overall were not the strongest compared to what we see in the Pacific Northwest during the fall and winter seasons, but it was the first of the season – and that's what created problems. 

Nearly 20,000 people were without power Thursday afternoon as high winds hit the greater Seattle area. Most of the outages were in King and Kitsap counties.

After a very wet morning commute, heavy rain has wrapped up for now across Western Washington with drier weather in the forecast to end the work week.

Soaking rain and breezy weather are making a strong comeback across Western Washington tonight into Thursday.

Expect heavy rain at times Wednesday night across Western Washington as a warm front moves through the area.

The rain train returns Wednesday afternoon. Prepare for times of heavy rain!

Most of Western Washington will be under high clouds Halloween day and for trick-or-treating tonight.
