A winter-like storm will impact Western Washington on Tuesday, bringing rain, wind, and mountain snow.

Residents in western Nevada and parts of California were rattled by a magnitude 5.5 earthquake on Monday evening. 

An early spring snow storm is heading to the mountains Tuesday and Wednesday.

This week will feature showers, wind, mountain snow, and then a much-needed dry and warmer stretch just in time for the weekend in Western Washington.

Two skiers were rescued after becoming stranded in steep terrain in the North Cascades, and crews recently shared video of the helicopter rescue.

Federal disaster relief is starting to flow as the White House approves major disaster declarations for seven states, yet multiple other regions remain in limbo after a series of severe storms and floods dating back to last year.

The early work week will trend wetter and cooler with highs dropping into the low 50s, widespread rain, and a soggy feel that could impact commutes, along with breezy to locally windy conditions.

As we break down the 7-day forecast, temperatures for Sunday appear to warm to around 60 degrees by the afternoon, with a few sun breaks possible later in the day.

A wet start Saturday with scattered showers into the afternoon, highs back to the 50s.

The overall pattern will shift noticeably, bringing a gray and murky feel to the day along with temperatures dropping Saturday by about 10 to 15 degrees compared to today.
