Beautiful January sunshine and mostly dry weather in Seattle this week

After a cloudy and gloomy start to the day, we’re forecasting beautiful sunbreaks later this afternoon. In some places, the clouds could be rather stubborn today - taking as late as 1 or 2 p.m. to lift entirely. We’ll be nice and dry today which bodes well for some of the first full commutes of 2025. Tuesday’s forecast will be somewhat similar in that the morning will be gray, and the afternoon could feature a few glimpses of sunshine amidst the clouds. Light showers are possible Tuesday evening, but these look very meager and brief. Wednesday and Thursday will feature partly sunny skies and dry weather. Overnight lows may tumble to the 30s. Showers are a possibility once again on Friday, but this system looks minor. Drier weather returns for this upcoming weekend.
