Temperatures are expected to fall again on Saturday night. Any leftover moisture on roads and sidewalks could easily refreeze overnight, so slick and icy spots are possible again by Sunday morning.

Drier (albeit icy) weather is ahead for Saturday night to Sunday morning in western Washington after an active snowy Friday, but lowland rain and mountain snow return Sunday afternoon. Earlier this morning, a rain–snow mix developed across parts of Western Washington as a convergence zone set up over portions of King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. In some locations, snowflakes were not only falling but briefly accumulated on grassy surfaces and rooftops. We could still see minor snow under this zone at about 500 feet in elevation and above it this afternoon before showers diminish.

After a morning dusting of light snow in spots on Friday, it transitions into rain. A little drier for the weekend. Light rain returns early next week. Afternoon highs will slowly warm to near 60.

Even though temperatures will mostly stay above freezing early Friday, there is the possibility for rain to briefly mix with or change over to snow in some lowland locations.

Western Washington gets too much of a break in the rain as a second atmospheric river sets up early next week. Afternoon highs will warm by Tuesday and Wednesday into the low 60s.

Western Washington is heading into a very active stretch of weather over the next several days with rain and gusty winds, while the Cascades deal with blizzard conditions tonight.

A strong front will arrive on Wednesday with lowland rain and mountain snow picking up throughout the day and into the evening.

Widespread rain, heavy mountain snow, and gusty wind will hit Western Washington the next few days, bringing much needed winter weather to the mountains.

The active pattern will continue into Tuesday morning. With Tuesday morning being the coolest of the extended period, it's the best chance for some spots to see a wintry mix.
