Tuesday will bring summer-like temperatures to the greater Seattle area, but the heat will not last long.

Tuesday will be the warmest day of the year so far, with highs peaking in the upper 70s to the low 80s.

It will be sunny and warm in Seattle Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures soaring into the mid to upper 70s Tuesday afternoon.

After highs only reached the 50s in many spots on Saturday afternoon, we’re forecasting a gradual warm-up. In fact, temperatures could warm to almost 80 degrees in Seattle on Tuesday.For today, any spotty clouds will lift – giving way to brilliant, sparkling blue skies and sunshine. Highs this afternoon will boost to above average, reaching the low 60s for many.

Rain in western Washington will be on and off as the weekend kicks off, expect a turnaround early next week, though.

After enjoying plenty of sunshine and warmth for the last couple of days, a weak disturbance and front will swing through western Washington overnight Friday and early Saturday.

Friday will be warm with increasing cloud cover as the next wet system approaches Seattle.

Plenty of sunshine and nice conditions to start the day with highs again in the low 70s. We will start to see increasing clouds by midday and showers by the evening along the coast.
