Wednesday will start out drier, but a disturbance and cold front will bring showers to the coastal region before spreading inland.

Most of the Puget Sound area will be mainly dry today with a few light showers impacting the south sound this evening.

A weak ridge of high pressure will bring a drier day for Tuesday. A spotty shower is possible for some, but overall conditions will be more dry than wet.

Expect light rain showers and lots of dry time for the greater Seattle area Monday and Tuesday.

A couple of key developments we are tracking heading into the weekend are winter storm warnings, mountain pass travel, and when to expect dry weather to return.

Unsettled weather around Western Washington continues into the weekend. A disturbance to our south will increase lowland rain chances and mountain snow beginning Friday night.  

A foot to a foot-and-a-half of snow is expected in the Washington Cascades this weekend.

Friday will be calm, but the wild weather returns this weekend with lots of rain, mountain snow, and wind.
