After several new fires were sparked on Thursday as a result of lightning, skies have been smoky in Central and Eastern Washington. Much of western Washington has stayed mainly clear thanks to the onshore winds.

Sunday will start off with a few morning clouds, especially along the coast.  As the high pressure ridge settles in, the clouds will burn off throughout the day, leaving behind sunnier skies by the afternoon. 

Highs will climb into the mid-80s around Seattle on Monday, signaling the start of what is expected to become a sizzling stretch of weather.

Seattle will see morning clouds to afternoon sunshine with highs in the mid to upper 70s on Saturday.

The biggest weather story will arrive next week as temperatures climb significantly across Western Washington.

Thunderstorms and showers are wrapping up in Western Washington, and warmer, drier weather is on the way.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms chances return Thursday, increasing fire concerns due to lightning.

Late Wednesday into Thursday will bring a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains, although an isolated storm elsewhere cannot be completely ruled out.

Wednesday will be another warm day with highs in the mid to upper 80s for parts of western Washington.

Thursday could be an active weather day for Western Washington with more clouds, rain, and possible thunderstorms in the forecast.
