A weak ridge of high pressure will bring a drier day for Tuesday. A spotty shower is possible for some, but overall conditions will be more dry than wet.

Expect light rain showers and lots of dry time for the greater Seattle area Monday and Tuesday.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a disturbance in the northern Atlantic, months before the official start of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.

A small town about 45 miles southwest of St. Louis, called Villa Ridge, suffered damage when an EF-2 tornado damaged several buildings, including a Burger King.

A nearby disturbance will keep scattered showers around for Monday.  Much like today, the showers will be spotty, except for the north sound where a convergence zone will set up increasing rain chances in that location.  Rainfall amounts throughout the day will range between .10" to close to an inch along the coastal region.  Light snow will fall in the mountains.  While there is no winter weather advisory in place, drivers should be prepared for some slick roads through the passes. 

The upcoming week will bring cool temperatures, lowland rain showers and more mountain snow.

A violent storm has killed at least 33 people across several states. The massive weather system brought tornadoes, dust storms and blizzard warnings to millions of people.

Another round of scattered showers to close out our weekend.  Lowland rain will ramp up overnight Saturday with showers lingering into Sunday.  Overall, Sunday will be more dry than wet, but there will be enough instability that we may see some more isolated storms with lightning, small hail and brief downpours of rain. 

Less than a week out from the first day of spring, the National Weather Service of Seattle is forecasting the mountains will get hit with a foot to a foot-and-a-half of snow.

At least 18 people are dead across three states following a widespread and dangerous severe weather outbreak, which started on Friday.
