Showers will taper off Friday and western Washington will be seeing a lot more sunshine heading into the weekend.

It will be a cooler afternoon with drier skies and sunbreaks into the afternoon; winds will be calmer as well.

Thursday will be another active weather day across Western Washington as the next system takes aim with gusty wind, high elevation snow, rain, and thunderstorms.

Scattered showers are expected Thursday as our next atmospheric river points at the Pacific Northwest. Heavier rain and wind can be expected into the evening hours.

Western Washington will get a one-two punch of storms Wednesday and Thursday, bringing breezy wind and rain.

Rain will increase overnight Tuesday into Wednesday with plenty of showers through the evening hours. Heavy rain at times and the potential for thunderstorms.

Most of Tuesday, western Washington will see the calm before a one-two punch of storm systems that will bring gusty wind and rain.

It will be dry for Tuesday during the day with even a few sunbreaks with highs in the mid 50s. Rain will return by the evening hours.

Areas south of Seattle will see light showers Monday afternoon, while the north end of the Puget Sound area stays dry. The Seattle wet season has arrived, here is our November outlook.
