Seattle weather: Puget Sound-area storms to bring wind, snow, minor flooding

Conditions over our mountain passes will be difficult the next few days.  Heavy snow was ramping up Saturday night with more expected Sunday into Monday.  Snow totals will range between 1-2 feet during the next few days. A Winter Storm Warning remains in place through Monday night.

Multiple cars were involved in a crash as rain steady fell on the Puget Sound region Saturday. First responders were on scene through the afternoon to clear the roadway and investigate the collisions.

Low pressure, a full moon, and cresting waves could all contribute to minor flooding in western Washington this weekend, especially for the coastal communities.

After a very wet week, the Puget Sound area will get a much-deserved dry Friday with partly cloudy skies.

There is a level 1 out of 5 threat for storms along the far Washington coast on Wednesday. This is something we don't normally see in this area. There is a chance of thunderstorms capable of producing powerful winds which could spin water spouts, which are essentially tornadoes over water.
