A man accused of killing another man in a downtown Seattle alley pleaded not guilty on Wednesday. Kersan Pascal is charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm in connection to the shooting that occurred on May 10. According to police, surveillance video shows Pascal with the victim in an alley near Third Avenue and Cherry Street. The two are seen exchanging words before the victim falls to the ground and Pascal walks away. Pascal initially told police that he only pushed the victim, but later claimed he had a toy gun and denies shooting the man. Bail was not addressed during the court proceedings, and Pascal remains in jail.
